Indians Bring Down SkyHawks

In a rock’em sock’em
hard hitting battle the Indians took their game to the Skyhawks in typical Indian
fashion. Hard hitting, fast breakouts , a stingy defence and strong goal tending were the order of the day.
Isaac Viau opened the
scoring 11 minutes into the game on an unassisted,goal with a quick shot from the slot.
Chris MacKay, doubling his season's
output, earned 1st star designation with a pair of pretty goals from the front of the crease. .Goal 1 , a
pretty finish to a cross-ice feed along the the goal line from the corner by Ky Moje. The 2nd, a carbon copy of
the first, on a cross-ice feed from Nick Zilka.
Brennan Poderzay got the start in
net and was strong throughout the entire game, holding off 3rd period
pressure by the SkyHawks.
Despite numerous Indians’
scoring chances early in the game, the SkyHawks managed to keep it tight for the first 2 periods. Goalie Shaffer came up big at the 18 min of the 2nd period stopping a Viau breakaway.
